What is the purpose of the boiler grate?
The grate refers to the component in the boiler that accumulates solid fuel and enables its effective combustion. It consists of a grate frame and grate bars, usually cast from cast iron. After assembly, there should be ventilation gaps between each bar, and a separate adjustable air volume ventilation chamber is often set below the grate, allowing air to enter the fuel layer through the gaps. The burnt ash can be discharged manually or mechanically.Boiler GrateWhat is it used for?

What is the purpose of the boiler grate?
1. The boiler grate is a horizontal three-return water-fire tube mixed boiler, with a bundle of threaded smoke tubes inside the drum. The left and right sides of the furnace are equipped with light tube water-cooled walls. A lightweight chain grate is used for mechanical coal feeding, with a blower and induced draft fan for mechanical ventilation, and a scraper ash removal machine for automatic ash discharge.
2. The front and rear arches of the boiler grate adopt energy-saving new technology. After the fuel falls from the coal hopper onto the grate and enters the furnace for combustion, the flame is refracted by the rear arch, turning upward through the combustion chambers on both sides of the main body to the front smoke box, then returning through the front smoke box to the boiler's tube bundle, entering the economizer through the rear smoke box, and then being drawn to the chimney by the induced draft fan.
3.Boiler GrateIt can be classified according to different methods. Boilers can be divided into industrial boilers, power station boilers, marine boilers, and locomotive boilers based on their applications. According to the outlet pressure of the boiler grate, they can be classified into low pressure, medium pressure, high pressure, ultra-high pressure, subcritical pressure, and supercritical pressure boilers.
4. According to the circulation method, they can be divided into natural circulation boilers, auxiliary circulation boilers, direct circulation boilers, and composite circulation boilers. Boilers are classified by combustion method into chamber combustion boilers, staged combustion boilers, and fluidized bed boilers.
Boiler GrateWhat safety hazards may occur during operation?
1. High temperature, large dust, high noise, and high temperature of molten slag may cause burns and scalds.
2. During operation, the boiler bears a certain temperature and pressure while also suffering from medium erosion and fly ash wear, thus posing an explosion risk.
3. During operation, the boiler bears a certain temperature and pressure while also suffering from medium erosion and fly ash wear, thus posing an explosion risk.
4. If there are defects in the design, manufacturing, and installation processes of the boiler, or if maintenance is improper, aged, or due to poor management and violation of operating procedures, equipment accidents may occur, leading to reduced production, shutdown, or affecting product quality; in severe cases, explosion accidents may occur, causing significant losses to people's lives and national property.
What are the main reasons for unstable load caused by the boiler grate?
1. Whether the particle size of the coal is within the specified range. If the coal particles are too large, it will affect the normal fluidization of the boiler, causing unstable combustion.
2. The lower thickness of the material layer makes it difficult to control the load.
3. Whether the return material is normal. Due to continuous return material, this abnormality can affect the stability of the bed temperature.
4. Whether the coal feeding is normal. If the moisture content of the coal is too high, it may cause uneven coal feeding and abnormal furnace temperature.
5. Whether all measuring instruments are normal. Please check and handle the boiler according to the above points. The stable operation of the boiler should be controllable.
