  1. Classification of reciprocating grates by Applications


  Power StationReciprocating Grate: Mostly large capacity, high parameter boilers, combustion in the combustion chamber, high thermal efficiency, and the export working medium is superheated steam.


  Industrial reciprocating grate: Used for industrial production and heating, mostly low pressure, low temperature, small capacity boilers, with combustion mainly on the fire bed, and lower thermal efficiency; those with steam as the export working medium are called steam industrial boilers, and those with hot water as the export working medium are called hot water boilers.


  MarineReciprocating Grate: Used for ship power, generally adopting low and medium parameters, mostly fuel oil. The boiler is small in size and light in weight.


  Locomotive reciprocating grate: Used for locomotive power, generally small capacity, low parameters, with combustion mainly on the fire bed, primarily using coal, and the boiler structure is compact, now used less.


  Injection boiler: Used for steam injection thermal recovery of heavy oil in oil fields, with the export working medium generally being high-pressure wet steam.


  2. Classification of reciprocating grates by structure


  Fire tube boiler: Flue gas flows through the fire tubes, can be made into small capacity, low parameter boilers, with lower thermal efficiency, but simple structure, low water quality requirements, and convenient operation and maintenance.


  Water tube boiler: Steam and water flow through the tubes, can be made into small capacity, low parameter boilers, and can also be made into large capacity, high parameter boilers. Power station boilers are all water tube boilers, with higher thermal efficiency, but also higher requirements for water quality and operational levels.

  Natural circulation drum boiler: Has a drum, utilizes the density difference of the working medium in the downcomer and riser to generate working medium circulation, and can only be applied below critical pressure.


  Multiple forced circulation drum boiler: Also known as auxiliary circulation drum boiler. Has a drum and circulation pump, utilizes the density difference of the working medium in the circulation loop and the pressure of the circulation pump to establish working medium circulation. Can only be applied below critical pressure.
