2. Requirements for Installing the Reciprocating Grate
Reciprocating GrateBefore installation, the grate pieces should be removed. The burrs on the flip plate that match the grate beam and other castings should be leveled to maintain good fit between the parts.
3. Installation of the Reciprocating Grate Support and Grate
Reciprocating GrateBefore installation, check the size of the support against the drawings. If there is deformation, it should be corrected; when installing the grate beam, maintain the same spacing and angle (can be adjusted with shims); the gap between the fixed beam and the movable beam should be uniform, and some should not be too large or too tight. The mating surfaces on both sides of the movable beam should maintain contact with the four fixed rollers as much as possible; the side grids should be kept in a straight line. After adjusting the spacing and angle, the movable beam and connecting rod should not be loosened with screws. It is better to use angle iron for welding clamping.
4. Installation of the Reciprocating Grate Pieces
The plate-type grate pieces and seamless grate pieces should be installed according to the positions shown in the grate assembly drawing: preheating zone and residual heat zone, with a gap of 1 mm between the grate pieces, and 2 to 3 mm in the main combustion zone. If the boss of the grooved grate is too high, it can be ground back to the original size with a grinding wheel. To prevent combustion in the reciprocating grate, ventilation in the main combustion zone must be ensured. Do not mistakenly install seamless grates in the center of the main combustion zone. To avoid air leakage in the preheating zone and on both sides of the grate, grooved grates should not be installed in these areas. Each rowReciprocating GrateAfter installation, a gap of 5-10 mm should be left for expansion. This gap is obtained by adjusting the shims. The gaps between each layer of grates along the surface of the grate should be uniform, and some should not be too large or cause friction. The installation method for the residual combustion furnace can be determined based on specific conditions.
5. Maintenance Convenience for the Reciprocating Grate
To facilitate ash unloading operations and allow for cooling of the reciprocating grate, the grate support should be installed as close to the ground as possible, ideally 40 to 50 mm above the ground, if conditions permit.
6. Preventing Air Leakage on Both Sides of the Reciprocating Grate
To prevent air leakage on both sides of the grate, a certain thickness of iron plate can be welded inside the side collection box. The iron plate is welded in several sections on the side collection box, and the gap between the iron plate and the reciprocating grate should not exceed 5 mm. The upper end of the iron plate should be within 10 mm of the grate surface to avoid burning.
