Characteristics of Chain Furnace Structure

The chain grate stoker is a long-established, structurally reliable, and stable operating mechanized coal-burning device in industrial boilers, which has been widely used.

How many types of grates are there?

Their grate plates are shaped like chain links, connected by round steel to form a wide chain belt. The grate's drive includes gearbox transmission, intermittent hydraulic transmission, and thyristor stepless speed regulation transmission, among others.

The grate can achieve energy conservation and emission reduction.

The grate achieves energy conservation and emission reduction by breaking up large clumps of garbage during movement and pushing the garbage forward, allowing for a more even distribution and leaving more gaps, which is beneficial for complete combustion. The garbage enters the incinerator for burning, with the fan extracting primary and secondary air from the garbage storage pit and the top of the boiler to assist combustion, ensuring the complete burning of the garbage.

What types of grates are there?

The grate plates are generally strip-shaped or plate-shaped, fixedly installed at the bottom of the furnace or combustion chamber by a surrounding frame. On this type of grate, coal can only be added and ash removed manually at regular intervals, resulting in high labor intensity and poor combustion economic efficiency. It is only suitable for small capacity furnaces, such as industrial boilers with an evaporation capacity of less than 0.5 tons/hour.

Principle of Grate Design

The grate refers to the component in a boiler where solid fuel is piled and effectively burned. The grate is composed of two parts: the grate frame and the grate bars, both of which are usually cast from cast iron. After assembly, a ventilation gap must be maintained between each bar, and often a separate ventilation chamber is set below the grate to adjust the air volume, allowing air to enter the fuel layer through the gaps to burn the ash residue, which is then removed by manual or mechanical means. Grates come in various types, including fixed, movable, reciprocating, vibrating, and underfeed.

Future Development Forms of Boiler Accessories

This year, due to the expiration of various consumption expansion policies and the sharp reduction in the scale of certain fixed asset investments, the pressure of domestic market shrinkage in some boiler accessory industries is rapidly increasing, and the pressure to expand into overseas boiler accessory markets is significantly rising. For most industries facing a shrinking domestic market and urgently needing to expand overseas, stabilizing and further developing the international market is something we can achieve.

Reciprocating grate combustion characteristics

The combustion situation of the reciprocating grate is similar to that of the chain grate, also using segmented air supply and appropriately adding secondary air. The combustion process is also sectional. Coal descends from the coal hopper and slowly moves from the upper front to the lower back along the inclined grate surface, with air supplied from below to above. The heat required for the coal to ignite mainly comes from the furnace, going through various stages such as drying, drying out, volatile ignition, coke combustion, and ash burnout, all of which are the same as those of the chain grate.

Biomass Boiler Emission Standards

Control methods and low nitrogen emission technologies for biomass boilers with NOx < 50 mg/m. Research has been conducted by relevant departments on the hazards of NOx, the generation mechanism of NOx during coal-fired power generation combustion, and technologies to reduce NOx. Reducing NOx is an essential requirement for improving air quality.
